My Goals For 2010

My goals for 2010 are to bring my math ans history grades up.When 2010 comes around then I plan on being better at all my classes all together.I also want to be able to beat the TAKS with flying colors.I also want to be able to beat my cousin in the game speed. When 2010 comes around my cousin will have just turned three and he will be able to decorate the tree next year since he is old enough.My main goal is to make my whole family be together on the holidays and special events. On the first of the month in 2010 we all will be together for New Years and I hope that my other goals are accomplished also like being a cool,fun family.

CHRISTMAS

Christmas means to me family, because when Christmas comes around all my family is around and it is a joyful time.When Christmas comes around my Aunt Jean will bring a salad or dessert. My Aunt Marie will make tamales,and my Mom will make menudo.When Christmas some around the first thing we do is we say hello to every one and then we eat what people made.After that we play games and watch t.v. On Christmas eve we are together.Then at 12:00 O'clock we get together and open present the youngest child in the family opens their gifts first,then the 2nd oldest opens theirs then so on so forth.When we are done we see what we got and then thank the person that gave us that gift.After we have opened the gifts we continue to celebrate with joy and love through out the room.We listen music,the guys watch T.V together and the girls go and do whatever they need to do.When it is time to go we clean up and get everything together.I usually spend the night over where we celebrate.Then on Christmas day I go to my Dad's we do the exact same thing that we did at the other family's house.I love Christmas because I get to see my family that I don't get to see often. So this Christmas I hope we do the same thing.It never gets old.

Rachel Rosenfelt

Yesterday a woman named Rachel Rosenfelt.She talked about the topics about our game and how to do the research.She was a visitor from New York.She came to talk to us about the game that we will be designing soon.My experiences were that there are more than just information about games but graphics and backgrounds.She talked about the different genres that there were to choose from like poverty and health.She talked mainly about these topics because these are the ones that effect us most.I now think about globaloria as not only a technology class but a way to learn information on the Web.Rachel Rosenfelt told us how to pick our topic that we want to make our game about.When she told us about the topic I decided to choose health and smoking because that fascinates me most.When she taught us about the genres and the topics and how some things relate to that certain topic also.When she told us about that I chose to change my work instead of just information but questions and answers with background and color patterns.That's what I learned yesterday at the visit of Rachel Rosenfelt.

What I learned

What I learned doing this project was how to expalin details and explain why and how I came up with this topic in this health topic.I am most excited about the graphics and color.Also the way the game wil be done with the falling ciggerettes with the girl and boy and another boy that pressures both kids into smoking and the boy does it but the girl thinks about her future and decides not to.When we start the real game I plan on doing the best that is can and also have the most detail and color out of all the games already made.When we do the information I want to find out how many people die and how many people barely servive the smoking.

Importance of following directions

It's important to listen and follow directions because She might be telling you something important that you may need to use during work.You may also need to listen because if she says that she may need to be absent because she has a meeting and you may need to do something that she told you. It's also important to be prepared for class in case you need to take notes to remember what she told you to do. When the teacher speaks it's important that you listen and pay attention to everything she said.Also need to pay attention because you may need to do something and then turn it in for a grade and you may not have known what to do and then you fail that paper because you didn't listen to a word she had said.When the teacher says to do something we better listen because we need to know what to do and then know how to do it.Also when things need to be done we need to listen for what new directions to follow.

What I learned This Week

I learned how to delete and name the animals and figures in the game that we will create.The way you do that is you box the object and then click modify then name it like carrotSymbol. We converted them into symbols.We also learned how to make it show up on the screen after we had copied and pasted it to the page and then made it onto the main page that we have on our Wiki pages.The other things we learned were how to delete the images on the page and then leaving only the carrot image on it all by itself.And then we updated our learning log about what we did on our mini game project.We also learned about the uploading a video and what code we need to actually upload the video and images.We learned about pages with codes and how to know which one you use for videos and pictures.I would like to learn about the parts of a computer and how they act differently in their own ways.I learned that action scripts are flashes that are similar to javascript. Action scripts are based on ECMAscript.I love learning new things,but sometimes it's hard to do all things at once and then you mess up and then none of it comes out the way that the teacher has it up on the projector

Without an adult

Write about why it is important to learn to sometimes settle disagreements without the help of a teacher or a parent: Because the teacher or parent aren't always going to be there for us to fight our battles.
The reason why I think that is because we are old enough to settle an disagreement by ourselves and with our friends or relatives. I also think that it would be good to be mature when it comes to a disagreement because when we get in an argument they need to settle it right.
I think it would be better for kids to not have that much help from adults because I think that it would give us more responsibility and we would be more responsible.
I think that it's better for kids to be taught about this in school because it is very important for kids to know about. The most important thing about this is about the fighting that kids do because an adult is not around because they feel that that's all they know how to do.I feel that it would be better than being in a fight is to talk the disagreement out,rather then getting hurt.I think it would be better to become friends than becoming enemies now.

Scary games:survival horror was about having to survive from flesh eating zombies and try to escape the dungeons of the undead.

Sport games:Brutal legend is about football and how the game is played and how it is well known.

Adventure games: Donkey kong is about a donkey and he plans on saving his family and he plans on getting all the bananas.

Strategy games: Ice House is about strategy and how you need to protect your Ice House from flames falling from the sky

Fighting games:Doom is the name of the game its about defeating your enemy and saving your castle.

Technology

What I have learned in technology this past six weeks are rcreating a gmail account for the first time,and learning the vocabulary .It was hard but I hope I passed with flying colors I learned how to post blogs and hyperlinks.I like technology even though it's a tough class.I also learned how to add a picture and videos.I love to download things like photos and videos. Mrs.Miller taught us how to log into googleand add music and interesting hyperlinks. I know that the six weeks are up and we are starting to get to know more important and harder things like the games. I no wknow how to hyperlink also how to make the toolbar not so crowded and how to open new tabs. We also learned how to change the screensaver on our blogs and gmail.I also found out if you double-click it will load faster.Also while doing the vocabulary I learned the meaning of access time. The more I learn in technology the more I'll be ready for technical things like learning the parts of a computer. I learned a lot more the I thought I would in technology and I thought I wouldn't be good at it but it turns out that I'm not that bad at it. The great game

The second game I played was about learning the bones.It's about the bones in the body and where the go.I'm glad that I came upon this game and learned a lot from it too.It was a game created by technology students.The illustrations were very cool and easy to understand like the instructions.My point of view it was educational and very interesting.I thought it would be boring at first but i got hooked to it and it became my favorite out of the bunch.It was very weird the way it was illustrated because it did grab the concept of the game and did relate to it too.It was clear to me about the game and the rules but the way the game came together was very cool.It does work well and easily and very hard at the game when you get further into it but it does work very well.The improvements I thought they needed were they need to make it a little bit more easy because when you get to the middle of the game it gets harder.The things I liked about the game and want to learn about how to make pictures and add them on to the game and how to make something that difficult.

social issues game

The name of this game is called "Are you making the right choices?" the purpose of the game is that they're telling what you should and should not do when you're in a teenage pregnancy and why you should be more careful.I think it's a good way of saying that it's better to have a baby when you're more mature.I think that the matter of the games didn't go well with the illustrations and it didn't grab the concept of the game.The instructions go well with the game and tell you how to play and work the game.The suggestions I would give to them would be better illustrations to relate to the game.I would like to learn how to do many different animations,games and illustrations.The reason why I chose this game was I thought it seemed a lot more better than any other game I've played.I thought this was a very interesting game because the way it explains that we should really pay attention to what adults say and why it's important to be safe.I see Why someone would want to make this game because it's a very easy to learn game and easy to follow.My cousin and I played the game similar to this and he thought it was cool too.I liked the game myself.I hope I can make a game like this that teaches lots of kids and people the right choices.I wish that my game will make a change like this one and it will change the way people think about things. I think that my game will be successful like this game I played myself.That's all i have to say about the game.

what I learned in technology

This week we learned how to add pictures to our blog and new sites. I was nervous about not getting the sites right,but I did it.When I walked into technology today I thought that the test we were going to take was going to be hard,but it was easier than I thought.

Today in technology was fun because we learned how to add a picture and how to add new websites too. I love tech like I love all my other classes.I thought this would be hard but it wasn't hard at all. I hope to learn more about computers.

Technology

What I want to learn how to do is make a website. The game that I plan on designing is a scary, but a fun way to learn too. The things that are scary in technology are the test that are hard, but I will beat them. I like technology and all, but it can be a very tough class.I hope by the end of the year I will know all the parts of the computer.I plan on being the best I can be at computers.
